Cocoa Dreams was started when I was pregnant with my 4th boy.  I was tired of walking into every store and seeing 90% of the store devoted to girls and the 10% that was devoted to boys, the same old boy stuff.  I wanted to feel the excitement of taking my baby boy out and having people comment on how cute his blanket or burp cloth was.  I wanted something different but practical and useful.

A couple months before I was due with my baby I was visiting my local fabric store and fell in love with this turquoise minkee.  I wasn't sure what to make with it but I knew I just had to have it because it was so dang soft.  Anyways I walked around the store awhile trying to figure out what I could make with the minkee and it finally occurred to me that I could use it to make some burp cloth and a yummy blanket for my newest prince.

Sometimes when I make things I feel disappointment and sometimes I fall totally in love with my finished products.  This was a time when I fell madly in love with my awesome creative abilities and then I said to myself; "These are so freakin cute I could totally sell them."  Ok, really I'm not that vain but I did really love the finished product.  When I make something and I get that same feeling I know that it's worthy to sell in my store and if I don't get that feeling I set it aside and move on to my next brilliant idea. 

So with that said I hope you will enjoy shopping Cocoa Dreams as much as I do creating my products.
